Street crime in Pakistan.
Keeping every report in view that the number of crimes in Islamabad has been increased to an alarming level and there is seen no end to armed robberies and street crimes, besides other illegal activities.
Undoubtedly, sexual harassment and kidnapping are two other evils that exist in the country like Pakistan. Other than street crimes, on a daily basis a lot of cases of robberies are reported. Many cars and motorcycles are stolen, but yet there is no end to the crime.
In September, even the US Embassy had issued an alert for its residents in the capital in the wake of increased street crimes. So far, the situation has not improved. Some reports from the same city suggest that the police do not register all cases.
Similarly, it is the responsibility of the Islamabad Police to make the city crime-free and take effective measures in order to protect the lives and property of citizens. Following rising inflation in the country, serious crimes such as snatching, burglary and even abduction have extremely increased in Islamabad.
It is really hurting me that the capital city is now facing a very bad situation. It seems that poverty, unemployment and hunger are big factors that are contributing towards higher rates in the horrific crimes.
The government had better pay serious attention to the issues and try to find the prime reasons behind this serious crimes that have created a wave of fear and uncertainty in the city.
